Is the government as evil as a lot of people portray them to be? Taking money from your pocket by using these horrible things called taxes! And they have the nerve to use it to help your community, keep streets and structures maintained, give a little bit of it to well-fare to prevent people from dying out on the streets, and so many more things that benefit you! That's outrageous! People that say that government is in fact evil don't take into consideration how much good they do.

I am sure that most people have been to a hospital before. Whether it's a broken arm, an illness, surgery... it costs money. That money comes from some of your taxes, as you probably know. Next time you think about taxes, one of the things that you should remember is that taxes take care of you. You alone probably can't afford the technology and research to fix a fractured bone or cure a disease, the government can with taxes. What would you do if a virus like H1N1 broke out? How would you find a cure? You most likely won't. The F.D.A. (Food and Drug Administration) Is made for you by the government.

The Food and Drug Administration can put some GMO (genetically modified organisms) products into ours foods too. So the food we buy at common grocery stores such as Costco are not completely organic foods but instead are chemically treated.

Also, the government adds chlorine and fluorine to our drinking water and tooth pastes. Although it is supposed to make our teeth more clean, it is actually unnatural impurities to our everyday drinking water. Chlorine is a toxic gas used in World War 1 as a chemical weapon.

The reason for adding chlorine is to clean the water. High concentrations of chlorine are what they used in WWI, which is toxic, but at the level of concentration that they use in your tap water it is no where close to being toxic. In fact, without chlorine, your water wouldn't be safe to drink because of all of the bacteria in it.
ReplyDeleteFluoride is healthy for your teeth but if swallowed at a high concentration, it could harm your body, just like chlorine.
The F.D.A. does more good than bad. If the F.D.A. didn't regulate medicinal companies, there would be no name companies that would slip in illegal drugs into their medication. This could be an easier way to get certain substances. The same would go for food companies. Bottom line, without the F.D.A. people would have the option to destroy their bodies.
